RuPay ATM-Cum-Debit Card Facility
Dear Customers,
We are pleased to announce the new facility of RuPay Debit Card of The Akola Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Akola. Your card can be used at more than 2,10,000+ ATMs of other banks displaying the RuPay logo. The card can also be used at POS terminals at Merchant Establishments displaying the RuPay logo, shopping through merchant websites, and online payments under NPCI’s industry payment program. Popularly known as plastic money, a Debit Card makes shopping a risk-free and pleasant experience. Please note that a PIN is mandatory for using your card at POS terminals. Before using the card, kindly go through the accompanying User Guide carefully.
Contactless RuPay ATM card
1. What CONTACTLESS Cards are?
A contactless RuPay ATM card is a debit card that uses Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, allowing you to make transactions without physically inserting or swiping the card. Instead, you can simply tap the card on a contactless-enabled ATM or payment terminal. These cards come with an embedded chip and radio frequency antenna that communicate with the ATM or POS machine to complete the transaction securely. You can withdraw money from an ATM or PoS by tapping the card on the contactless reader. No need to insert the card into the machine.
2. To whom should we issue Contactless Cards:
New Account Holders.
Existing Account holders without an earlier ATM card.
Customers who have lost their cards and the old card is blocked.

ATM Terms & Conditions
The Terms and Conditions under which the RuPay ATM-cum-Debit card has been issued are mentioned below:
a) Terms Used here:
- Bank means The Akola Urban Co-Operative Bank Ltd., Akola (Multistate Scheduled Bank)
- Card Means RuPay ATM-cum-Debit Card Issued to customer.
- Cardholder means customer who has been issued RuPay ATM-cum-Debit Card.
b) The Card:
- The Card is the property of the Bank and shall be returned unconditionally and immediately to the Bank upon request.
- The Bank reserves the right to cancel the card and stop its operations unilaterally without assigning any reason.
- The Card is non-transferable.
c) The PIN:
The Card Holder is initially allotted a computer generated 4-digit PIN which will be in a secured and sealed PIN mailer. The Card Holder is advised to change this PIN using the PIN change option available at Any-ATM. While selecting a PIN, avoid a PIN which can be easily associated with you. Besides, the selected PIN should not comprise of:
- Any sequence from the associated account number.
- String of the same number.
- Historically significant dates.
Please remember that an unauthorized person can access the ATM services if they gain the card and PIN. The card should remain in the Card Holder's possession. The Bank bears no liability for unauthorized use.
d) Loss of Card:
- The Card Holder should immediately notify the Branch if the card is lost/stolen. Change the PIN immediately if divulged.
- Any financial loss arising out of unauthorized use till the Bank records the notice of loss will be to the Card holder's account.
- Fresh card will be issued in replacement at a charge of Rs. 250*/-.
e) Debit to Customer's account:
- The bank has express authority to debit the designated account for all withdrawals/transfers effected using the Card.
- The Card Holder expressly authorizes the Bank to debit service charges from time to time.
f) Transactions:
- The transaction record generated by the ATM will be conclusive and binding unless found to be otherwise on verification.
g) Closing of Accounts:
- To close the account or surrender the facility, give the Bank 10 working days notice in writing and surrender the Card.
h) Validity of Card:
- As mentioned on the card.
i) Others:
- Maintain sufficient balance to meet cash withdrawals and service charges.
- Where the ATM is not connected on-line, the transaction will be accounted for on the same day or next working day.
- The Bank may amend Terms and conditions governing the services and notify Card Holders.
j) ATM Services: RuPay ATM-cum-Debit Card
- E-comm/POS online transaction Limit upto Rs.50,000/- per day.
- Cash Withdrawals: withdraw minimum of Rs. 100/- and maximum of Rs. 25000/- per day, subject to daily limit fixed by the bank.
- Balance Enquiry: Cardholder can see the balance on the screen.
- Statement of Account: A statement containing the last five transactions can be obtained.
- Change of PIN: Customers can change their PIN at any Networked ATM.
Guidelines & Safety Tips
Before you begin using your card:
- Sign on the signature panel at the back of the card as soon as you receive it.
- Use your new card immediately at any ATM to change the system generated PIN.
- Memorize your PIN and destroy the PIN mailer.
- Never write your PIN on your card.
Dos:
- Keep your PIN secret.
- Change your PIN regularly. Preferably every quarter.
- In case of loss/theft, call Customer Care No. 9545-40-2345 or visit nearest branch immediately to block the card.
- Keep your card away from sunlight, TV and magnetic products.
- If you have two cards, ensure the magnetic stripes do not rub against each other.
Don'ts:
- Do not give your card to anyone.
- Do not share your PIN with anybody (including family or bank employees).
- Never leave your card unattended.
- Avoid taking help from anybody under any circumstances at an ATM.
- Never let anyone see you enter your PIN.
- Always dip your EMV chip card to enjoy enhanced security.
- Do not remove or scratch the magnetic stripe behind the card or bend the card.
- The Akola Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. will never ask for personal/Debit Card info via email. Do not respond to fraudulent emails.
